"This center was a vision I had as I struggled to go through the daunting
tasks of finding services for my disabled daughter. I envisioned that someday I would create a place that would help families,
and allow them to receive necessary services without fighting. But then on November 11th my baby girl left me and became an
angel. I knew immediately that I had to create this place now, so the Holliann Grace Center for Children with Disabilities
became a reality for my husband and I." (Kimberly Bice)
Our Namesake This center is named after Joseph & Kimberly Bice's daughter,
Holliann Grace. She was born on March 14, 2005 with a neuro-degenerative disease and passed away on November, 11 2007 as
result of it. Holliann was perfect in so many ways, and as we begin to create this center it seems right to name it after
her. If it wasn't for our angel then we would have never known that there is a need for services for disabled children.
Holliann was only here for two years, but she will live on through us for years to come! Our Goals - Create a center where disabled children
and their families can go for information and resources available to them.
- Establish programs
for participation, education, support and advocacy for disabled children and their families.
- Provide
needed services including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, as well as psychological
and social services.
- Create a playground where both disabled children and typical children
can play safely together.
- Create a place where disabled children can participate in a variety
of activities that are adapted to their needs.
